Augusta, GA – The COVID-19 pandemic has made many local businesses to struggle to find people to hire.

The good news is that businesses are opening back up and looking to hire.

But, unfortunately, it hasn’t been easy.

Georgia and South Carolina governors announced the states will end federal unemployment assistance early.

Both governors agreeing the enhanced federal benefits are keeping people from looking for jobs.

Many who are unemployed in the CSRA say they are actively searching for jobs but simply can’t find one.
