Baby grazed in the head by a bullet, mother in shock

GROVETOWN, GA- A 16-month-old baby was struck with a bullet in their head.

The Grovetown Police were alerted as shots were fired at the 500 block of Lory Lane. While they were on their way to help, they found out that a 16-month-old baby was hurt in gunfire that appeared close to the 300 block of Congling Circle.

When the officers arrived, they found the mother holding her injured baby. Reportedly, the mother was sleeping in the master bedroom and the baby was shot while sleeping in a different bedroom.

The officers found two bullets that were shot from the outside, one in the master bedroom and the other ending in the baby’s crib.

The mother and the baby were taken to the hospital for treatment and they were released.

The investigation is still active, and The Police said they have no evidence that the house was targeted, but they will be looking at security camera footage. If you have any information, please call the police at 706-836-1212.
