AUGUSTA, Ga. – Facing a full shelter, Augusta Animal Services is willing to make a deal.
From Friday through Sunday, the shelter will have a special $10 adoption fee. All of the animals have been spayed or neutered, are up to date on their shots and have been microchipped, said Deputy Director Crystal Eskola. The dogs have also been tested for heartworm.
The shelter at 4164 Mack Lane will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday. Shelter personnel will also be at PetSmart on Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
