AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Community Foundation for the CSRA administers the fund, which began in 1930, and every dollar collected goes to local recipients. More than 1,000 families in 2019 were helped through donations from the community.
All applications must be submitted via the online form at https://www.augustachronicle.com/emptystocking/application. No paper applications will be accepted this year.
Applicants with questions can contact United Way of the CSRA by dialing 2-1-1 from Georgia or 706-826-1495 from South Carolina.
Donating online is private and secure. Your donation will be added to the list of donors that will appear in The Chronicle during the holidays. However, if you wish to donate anonymously, please type “anonymous” in the acknowledgment field of the donation section.
Donations will appear as “Community Foundation for the CSRA” on your bank or card statement.
Donations can be made online at https://www.augustachronicle.com/emptystocking or mailed to Empty Stocking Fund, P.O. Box 31358, Augusta, GA 30903. The deadline to apply for Empty Stocking Fund assistance is Nov. 20.
The Empty Stocking Fund is a 501(c)(3) organization, and donations are tax-deductible.
