Looking for some Halloween fun? Here’s a list of Augusta area events

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Aldersgate United Methodist Church is offering Treat Street, a COVID-19 adapted trunk or treat event from 4:30-6:30 tonight at 3185 Wheeler Road in Augusta. Participants must stay in their cars and drive through multiple decorated booths receiving treats along the way.

The North Augusta Parks, Recreation & Tourism Department is holding a Drive-Boo Trick or Treat from 5-7 p.m. today at Riverview Park Activities Center, 100 Riverview Park Dr. Dress in costume and decorate your car to drive through to receive treat bags.

Trunk or Treat event is from 5-8 p.m. today at 4290 Triangle Industrial Dr. in Evans. Presented by VFW Post Auxiliary 12190, the cost is a donation of one nonperishable canned good per person to support homeless veterans. There will be games, food, a cake walk and candy.

Reqteq headquarters in Evans is screening “The Addams Family” at 6 p.m. today for Family Movie Night. The event at 4301 Evans to Locks Road in Evans will have food trucks available, but you can also bring a cooler with your own snacks. Admission is $10 per space. Learn more at movienight.recteq.com.

Funk You is playing a Halloween show at 7 p.m. today at the North Augusta Riverfront Amphitheater. Scarlet Begonias will open the show. Admission begins at 6 p.m. Seating will be socially distanced according to COVID-19 guidelines. Tickets are available as a 4-pack for $100 or a 6-pack for $120-$240 online at etix.com.

Georgia Military College will hold a Trunk or Treat Fall Festival and Open House from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday at 115 Davis Road in Martinez. There’ll be food, candy and giveaways. See www.gmc.edu.

Augusta Fire/EMA will hold drive-thru trunk-or-treat events at their stations on Halloween night. Families are asked to stay in their vehicles while firefighters wearing masks and gloves distribute candy. Spokesman Jason DeHart said families can come pick up some treats at any of the following stations from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday:

– Fire Station #4 at 1866 Ellis St.

– Fire Station #9 at 3507 Walton Way Ext.

– Fire Station #10 at 1056 Alexander Dr.

– Fire Station #11 at 2243 Old Savannah Road.

– Fire Station #13 at 2619 Lumpkin Road.

The Boo Bash Drive-Thru is planned for 4:30-6 p.m. Saturday, at four locations in Aiken County. The City of Aiken Parks, Recreation & Tourism Department is coordinating this alternative to its annual Trunk or Treat event for ages 12 and younger at the Odell Weeks Activities Center, the Smith-Hazel Recreation Center, the Lessie B. Price Aiken Senior and Youth Center, and the Aiken Visitors Center & Train Museum.

Drive-thru Trick or Treat is planned at Diamond Lakes Library in Hephzibah will hold from noon to 2:30 p.m. Saturday. The branch address is 101 Diamond Lakes Way.

Plantation Blood, now in its 21st year, is open nightly through Nov. 1 as well as Nov. 6-7. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. with the last ticket sold at midnight Friday and Saturday and at 11 p.m. Sunday. The haunted attraction is at 4127 Wallie Drive in the south Augusta area. General admission tickets are $25, and fast passes are $45. First responders can show their ID for discounted $20 tickets.

You can pick pumpkins, pet animals and play during the The Maize at Steed’s Dairyat Steed’s Dairy on Wrightsboro Road off Interstate 20 in Grovetown. The fall-oriented event is held every Saturday and Sunday through Nov. 15. The main attraction is a corn maze cutting through the farm’s five-acre corn field. Admission is $11, and discounted $8 tickets are available for seniors, first responders and military. Children 2 and younger get in free.
