Jared Williams sworn in as Augusta District Attorney

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Monday was a history-making day in Augusta as Jared Williams was sworn in as District Attorney for the Augusta Judicial Circuit. The City of Augusta livestreamed the ceremony.

Williams won the November election against incumbent Natalie Paine. During the ceremony, Williams got emotional as he spoke about his win. “I could go through all the many people that did so much, but we’d be here all day. And I know… So I will say, to God be the glory. Thank you, everyone. And I look forward to serving.”
