FOREST PARK, Ga. According to the statement, Forest Park Police officers responded to a shooting call around 11:55 a.m at the 5500 block of Old Dixie Road.
When the officers arrived on scene, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, but later died.
The suspect fled the scene on foot and is still at large.
The suspect was described as a slender, black male with short dreads, wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans, said investigators.
The investigation is ongoing.
