RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. – Richmond County deputies are investigating a shooting that happened at the Augusta Market on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard on Monday afternoon.
Dispatchers say the call came in at 4:47 p.m. Deputies responded to the location after receiving reports of shots being fired and a subject had been shot.
Upon their arrival, deputies learned that the victim had been transported to Augusta University Medical Center by private vehicle.
The male victim arrived at the hospital and was found to have suffered at least one gunshot wound. His condition is not immediately known but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
